Mandale take the Dragon Boat!

Mandale had a great day on Saturday competing in The Daisy Chain Project’s annual Dragon Boat Race 2019. The charity provides great support and education to children and families affected by autism and we are proud to have fundraised for them for the third time on this event.

We may not have won this year but both teams reached the semi-finals so we all celebrated with a well earned drink.

Our Stunning Barn Conversions

One of our most exciting sites – Beck Hill Farm in Scorton, Richmond. These derelict barns sat untouched and unloved for years. By retaining as much original stone and features as possible, we managed to restore Beck Hill Farm into an elegant development of seven barn conversions. We only have 2 left, both are 4 bedroom detached barns with approx 1 acre of land each and a magnificent spec – starting from just £535,000!

Just take a look at some of the magnificent before and after pictures of these barns!

A Helping Hand for The Moses Project

Here at Mandale Homes we work proudly and closely with our patron charities Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Charity and The Moses Project in Stockton on Tees.

The selfless hard work that both these charities put into our local communities is second to none and have helped changed the lives of so many. Unfortunately, on January 2nd 2019, there was a senseless break in at The Moses Project – a charity dedicated to providing guidance, mentoring and support to hundreds of men with past and current addictions to drugs and alcohol. This malicious act resulted in £1,500 worth of damages including three completely broken internal doors.

The hard work of Brian at The Moses Project, who runs and manages the charity, has always been an inspiration to Mandale Homes and we were proud to donate and install the internal doors needed to restore the damage done to The Rivers of Life Church where The Moses Project carry out their essential work.

Another Win for Mandale!

Mandale pick up the Highly Commended award for our regeneration of Martin’s Mill at the Halifax Civic Trust Awards 2019.

This year, Mandale were invited along to the Halifax Civic Trust Awards to be presented with a Highly Commended award for our renovation of Martin’s Mill.

In November 2018, Mandale Homes embarked on the restoration and renovation of the historic Halifax mill which dates back as far as the 1800s. The unused and dilapidated 19th century mill was facing dereliction before we decided to take on this project and invest £7m into a new housing development.

Whilst preserving some of the mill’s original features, we have also managed to transform the run-down building into a complex featuring 60 apartments overlooking Halifax town center. Martin’s Mill comprises 45 one-bedroom apartments and 15 two-bedroom apartments with parking for 29 residents.

Richard Harriman, Sales Director, Mandale Homes said:

“We are delighted to complete the regeneration of Martin’s Mill in Halifax into homes for local people.   Halifax is an old town that is reinventing itself and it has been a privilege to work with Calderdale Council and local stakeholders to be able to deliver a residential scheme that turns its past into its future.  We believe the scheme will appeal to young property buyers looking for town centre living. “The Council’s vision for the town has seen some amazing schemes, not least of which is the £19m reopening of Piece Hall as an open air cultural and retail venue and the transformation of Dean Clough Mills into a cluster of offices, galleries and sophisticated bars and restaurants.    The overarching theme for the town is development that suits the sense of what the Halifax community wants to be: lifestyle-oriented and blending old with new – we know our new apartments meet this image and will have real buyer appeal
